With the passing of one of the firefighters I work with, which was TOTALLY unexpected, it has caused me to reflect on my life and the people who are in my life.
I know that we have all heard," we never know how long we have here, tell people you love them." Well, guess what people, I love you all and my life is so much richer because of each and every one of you.
It is always interesting to me what brings people to CrossFit. I know I started because I just knew there was something better out there for me to be a fitter person. I have always strived for the physical part, little did I know that the emotional, mental, suffering, determination and anger would also be a part of this. While I have grown stronger physically, I am amazed at how I have grown in all those other areas. And to be able to watch all of you go through the changes you have all gone through! And I started CrossFit to get fit! Not only do I get the "pleasure" of pushing each and every one of you to a level you never thought possible, you've each pushed me to a level I never thought possible. We are so fortunate at our "Humble little box" that we are all able to push each other and there are no hard feelings.
I just can't say Thank you enough to all of you, for your support, you friendship and your humor. I so look forward each day to coming into SVCF and working with all of you.
So one question......Why did you start CrossFit? What changes have you seen?
Thank you!
Jenny
I started coming to Crossfit last August after I heard what a kick butt workout it was. I was looking for something to help me get into better shape. What I discovered was a place that would do that, but also a place where friends come together and make working out easier to do because of the support. Crossfit has kind of become an addiction to me, and I love it!! I have seen myself grow both in strength and endurance. I have learned that no matter how hard a workout is, I can finish it. Now Crossfit has become a fun place for my kids, and Jenny, I cannot thank you enough for doing a kids class. You make exercise so fun, and I love creating that great habit at such a young age; and they don't even realize what they are doing for their future. So Jenny you have accomplished much just within my family and me; the friendship and support are also something I will cherish forever. Thank you!!

I started coming to crossfit because it was close to home and I was hearing so many great things about it. What I found once I started was that SNVCF was not just another gym to workout in. It is a family that sweats and suffers together. We support each other and lean on each other. We inspire each other to do more than we every thought was possible. Jenny, you have not just helped me change my physical appearance, you have helped change the way that I think about myself and what I am capable of. I no longer think "I can't do that", I think "Let's do it!!" That has affected every aspect of my life and I hope that it inspires my kids as they do crossfit kids, too! Thank you soooo much!
